A collaborative design effort with Creative Director Amy Parker and Senior Designer Donovan Mooney. Redesigning PFA’s website and building out an illustration system along with it to humanize healthcare.

PFA helps patients expand their insurance networks and get care they otherwise might not had access to. Working on a project that helps American’s get better access to healthcare was rewarding, but also came with a set of challenges. The limitations that the American healthcare system and privatized insurance place on individuals is incredibly serious, so going into this project is was clear that this information needed to be accessible and easy to digest but not trivialized.

Integrating illustrations into the layout of PFA’s website allowed us to retain a serious demeanor but have a positive tone alongside it.

The illustrations are reality inspired stories, PFA works with real people and has a real impact on the lives of Americans. Having this narrative as core part of the experience is not only important to the company, but to illustrate the severity of their impact to potential customers and partners.

Building out an illustration system was a lot of fun and very rewarding, but incredibly challenging.
